Problem Note 50821: A calculated member in a SAS® OLAP cube is not available to users who are denied metadata permissions to a dependent measure

If you do not have the necessary metadata permissions for a dependent measure that is used in a calculated member, you see an error message.
For example, if calculated member A=measure 1 + measure 2, and you do not have permission to see measure 1, then you see an error message when you attempt to access calculated member A.
